Responsible for UBC’s Policies on Discrimination and Harassment and Employment Equity, the Equity and Inclusion Office works to prevent discrimination and harassment on campus, to provide case management procedures for addressing human-rights related concerns, to coordinate UBC’s employment and educational equity program and to provide education and training on a wide range of diversity, equity and human rights issues. Equity Advisors are available to consult with all members of the University community in a confidential setting.
Works with the University to create an inclusive living and learning environment in which all students can thrive. They provide leadership in examining policies, processes, and programs through the lens of diversity. They run Crane Library and provide disability-related services to UBC’s students, according to University Policy, and to staff and faculty.
Dedicated to providing a positive environment for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students, staff, and faculty. They work to make the University’s vast resources more accessible to Aboriginal Peoples, and to improve the University’s ability to meet the needs of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit.
Provides International Student Advisors, peer programs, orientations and a wide range of assistance to and programming for international students. International House is a community centre open to all members of UBC and their families.
